Our Story

I established Finance Blueprints because I have experienced firsthand the excitement of getting out of debt, buying my first rental property, and seeing my net worth soar beyond what I ever imagined - experiences I believe everyone should have, no matter where they start.

After finishing my undergraduate degree at 27, I was burdened with $36,100 in consumer debt spread across multiple maxed-out credit cards. Despite starting my career with a modest salary of $62,700, I was overwhelmed by the monthly credit card payments totaling a crippling $650, each compounded by a staggering 22% interest rate. Determined to break free, I immersed myself in financial wisdom, listening to Dave Ramsey’s daily broadcasts without fail. I was motivated by hearing the famous "debt-free screams" and I knew I could achieve it with my determination and grit, even though I lacked knowledge. Inspired by his debt-free success stories, I resolved to follow suit, clearing my debt within a year and venturing into real estate just a year after that.

While my approach incorporates some of Ramsey’s principles, you'll quickly notice that I've also drawn from other influential figures like Grant Cardone, Ryan Pineda, and Robert Kiyosaki, blending strategies to accelerate my financial goals and achieved a net worth nearing $1,000,000 within seven years.

Hint, there's no secret get-rich-quick scheme here. It's all about owning your budget, setting achievable goals, and taking calculated risks.

Financial Passion

My passion for finance stems from an upbringing where money was rarely discussed, which is in stark contrast to my current career trajectory. My family belonged to the group that would advise you to "never tell anyone how much money you make." As a result of this lack of financial knowledge growing up, I spent seven aimless years in community college going nowhere in life. It wasn't until my friends graduated college and started their careers making "adult" money that I felt motivated to get my life together. Going back to school was easy all of a sudden. Why? Because I had a purpose. A purpose to be better financially meant finishing school and finding a mentor.

I found my mentor in plain sight -- It was my uncle who married into the family ages ago and I never understood what he did for work. This amazing person used to run his multi-million dollar hedge fund, built and sold numerous companies, and is the current CEO and board member of a few different cutting-edge entities. How lucky was I? This capitalist pulled me into a few of his ventures and it was like drinking from a fire hose. I built business plans resulting in multiple rounds of funding, built my consulting team to support his marketing and finance needs, and built real estate models advising his investors. These experiences became the pillars of what we help people with at Finance Blueprints which is personal finance, real estate, and start-up financing. I continued helping out with these ventures when I finished my undergrad as I juggled my newest passion, which was building my corporate finance career for the last ~decade.

When I started in the corporate finance world I was a 26-year-old intern with real-world experience which certainly had its advantages. I took my strong financial background and modeling skills to quickly move up the 'corporate ladder' receiving 5 promotions in 6 years. I ended my time at my first company as a finance director responsible for a team of 13 and a $1B portfolio at a Fortune 20 company. After my 1st stint in corporate finance, I managed more than $1B of sales in a single day at one of the largest financial institutions in the world. I'm currently at another company advising the CFO and board while improving their internal infrastructure. Working in corporate finance has required me to gain the skills and knowledge to build unique, actionable, and dynamic models to solve many different problems over the years.

Empowering Others

Before delving into finance, I dedicated years to personal training and competitive bodybuilding, experiences that instilled in me a profound joy in helping others achieve their best selves. There was nothing more rewarding than seeing my clients improve their mental and physical health month over month. It allowed me to give back to the people who needed the knowledge, who maybe lacked the discipline, and to support those who potentially didn't have that support at home. What drew me into fitness was the discipline, sense of ownership, tracking to see my growth, and the knowledge-seeking aspect. Funny enough, all of these things are correlated to finance and are a huge reason why I'm so passionate about what I do every day. Everything I missed about being a personal trainer can be found in my efforts at Finance Blueprints. Instead of providing meal and workout plans, I've built prescriptive financial tools.
